Plan

Notes:

I propose to introduce Topic Maps. Topic Maps will be illustrated in the role they play in creating, maintaining, and supporting the presentation of stories.

The context of this presentation centers, primarily, on notions of stories in the service of knowledge work: learning, and problem solving. The information presented here is also appropriate to story telling activities outside the two on which we focus. A sketch is offered which provides a view of the nature of the flow from data, to information, to knowledge, to wisdom. That sketch is followed with another sketch, the Gowan Knowledge V, which provides a context for thinking about constructivist environments for learning and for story telling.

I will then begin to sketch the central notion of Augmented Story Telling, which holds that two separate but highly linked spaces are required, one for story telling, and one for story discussion.
